Product management coaching
For PMs who want the next level, and for founders who own product without ever having been taught it.
Most product coaching is career advice with a framework bolted on. This isn't that. We work on the artefacts you actually shipped this month — your roadmap, your last spec, the stakeholder who keeps reopening a closed decision — and I tell you what I'd do differently and why. I've been the Head of Product on the other side of those conversations for twelve years.
Who this is for
Three people get the most out of it, and they're the ones I say yes to.
- The PM who's good at delivery and stuck below the strategy conversation — you ship, but you're not in the room when the bets get made.
- The senior PM going for Group PM or Head of Product, who needs to demonstrate judgement rather than throughput.
- The founder running product by instinct, whose instinct has stopped scaling past the first thirty customers.
What we actually do
Sessions are working sessions. You bring a real artefact and a real problem; we leave with a decision and something written down.
- Roadmap and strategy review — is this defensible, and what happens when the CEO pushes on it?
- Spec and discovery critique — on your documents, marked up, line by line.
- Metrics: what you're measuring, what you should be, and what your dashboard is quietly hiding.
- Stakeholder and political strategy — the part nobody writes down and everybody gets wrong.
- Interview and promotion prep, when that's the goal — including the questions that actually separate senior candidates.
What you get out of it
Nothing here is a certificate. The outcomes are the boring, concrete kind.
- A product strategy you can defend in one page, in front of people who will argue with it.
- A discovery habit that survives a busy quarter.
- Specs your engineers stop reinterpreting.
- A clear read on what's blocking your next level, and a plan that doesn't depend on a promotion cycle.
Common questions
- Is this career coaching or product coaching?
- Product coaching, with career as a consequence. We work on the craft — strategy, discovery, communication — because that's what actually changes how you're seen. If you want CV review and interview drills alone, I'm the wrong person.
- I'm a founder, not a PM. Does this still work?
- Yes, and it's a large part of who I work with. Founders usually don't need product vocabulary; they need a way to decide what not to build, and a way to hand product over eventually without it falling apart.
- Do you coach whole teams?
- Coaching is 1:1. If you want the team lifted as a unit, that's an interim or consulting engagement — I work with the team in place rather than in sessions.
- What does it cost?
- It depends on the cadence and the length of the commitment. Ask on the call — I'll give you a number in the first conversation, not after three.
Start with a conversation
30 minutes, no pitch. You describe where you're stuck; I tell you whether coaching is the right instrument or whether you need something else.
